UNDER
VIOLET SKIES is a very talented 3 member band from Austria performing beautiful
romantic alternative music.
I
describe this recording as romantic alternative music in general, as it
contains a whole garden of sounds, from traditional to folk; atmospheric to
gothic; alternative rock to metal… all is there 😅.
I
recently reviewed the band’s last album under the name “Violet Skies” which is
a nice paradigm of gothic metal mixed with alternative rock music. This time
UNDER VIOLET SKIES comes with a more melodic approach of electric rock, a
variety of well written guitar riffs and a very expressive mainly erotic (romantically)
vocal work.
“Colors
of Chaos” contains 10 anthems of rock songs, atmospheric ballads, a variety of
sounds that keep my mind busy sometimes, relaxed and happy.
The
band performs well and the sound is live and humble, the rhythm section is
tight and the production is proper.
As
a fan of this band, I like the progress on their music direction and choices; I
also like them because they are full of inspiration.
If
you are into female fronted bands, if you like alternative rock, alternative
metal, gothic metal, folk music, a mix between SISTERS OF MERCY, ALICE IN
CHAINS, LOREENA MCKENNIT and so on just give it a shot.
