GABRIELS is the personal musical project of the Italian piano/keyboard composer of the same name. From the bio that I have in my hands I have to say that I am impressed by the studies that Gabriels has done on his instrument and more specifically the fact that he has participated in many bands, cooperated with many known musicians (Fabio Leone amongst them) and played a variety of musical styles and genres.

Not so long ago I presented to you the debut album of BASTIAN who took their name from the guitarist and mastermind of the band Mr. Sebastiano Conti. In their debut album which had the title “Among My Giants”, BASTIAN were more of a studio project band with many participations on vocals and drums. If you check my review you will be really impressed by the artists that participate there. Now, on their sophomore release the band seems to have a more stable line-up and in my opinion a hard task. They have to compete with themselves and their very good debut album.

Yeah, the title can make you think of SLAYER, but MAX NAVARRO doesn’t belong to the aggressive branch of rock music. I think that this is the beauty of this music. It has variety and if you have an open mind and appreciate good music and song writing then you will enjoy a lot of good moments.

I think that the story of DÉJÀ VU is a proof of true love for heavy metal. As the band claims it all started back in the late 80’s and especially after an OVERKILL show. It was then that they decided to form a band and play heavy metal. They gave live shows in Germany, but they never released an album, except a single in 1990 which is hard to find. Later, when the heavy metal sound knew tough days, the group disbanded due to lack of motivation. In 2000 the band was reformed and due to the demand of the metal fans they released in 2006 their debut album “Bullets to Spare” which was followed in 2008 by their sophomore release entitled “Decibel Disease”. After that the band hasn’t released anything else.
