If there is a song that
made me realize that hard rock and heavy metal was the music that fit my
personality perfectly it was the song “Stargazer” of RAINBOW. It seems that
these Finnish too consider “Stargazer” as a monumental song and because of that
they have given to their band a relevant name. “Stars Aligned” comes 3 years
after the debut album of STARGEZARY who don’t seem to rush things and I believe
that this is a wise choice since once again they have released an album of high
quality. The album balances between the melodic metal and hard rock genre. The
musical roots of the band can be found on such bands like RAINBOW (especially
the guitar solos and leads) and BLACK SABBATH (DIO and Tony Martin era). The
band, though, brings its own fresh interpretation to their influences and in a
way they brought also to my mind ASTRAL DOORS (great band indeed) and JORN.
Once again STARGAZERY balance perfectly between melody and heaviness and their
compositions have a variety of expressions that make the whole album a real
experience to listen to and of course a great way to entertain yourselves. In a
few words this is an album that every fan of RAINBOW, DIO and BLACK SABBATH
should listen to and even buy.
