SERIOUS BLACK - As Daylight Breaks review

SERIOUS BLACK - As Daylight Breaks
AFM Records
SERIOUS BLACK is a new band and this is their debut album, but the musicians behind it are very serious and talented artists. In order to tame your curiosity I will tell you that in the band participate Urban breed (vocals), Roland Grapow (guitars), Dominik Sebastian (guitars), Mario Lochert (bass), Jan Vacik (keyboards) and Thomen Stauch (drums). All these musicians are much appreciated and they have offered a lot to the heavy and power metal sound and I think that our expectations must be on a high level. SERIOUS BLACK musically moves on the path of melodic power metal. Actually the band carries a bit of the character of each musician that participates here and there are also a few radio friendly ballads and hard rock moments. “As Daylight Breaks” is a pleasant album, but it can’t be something more than that. It fails to create strong emotions or to have catchy melodies that will make it memorable and make you listen to it again and again. I really expected more from such talented and experienced musicians.
