αξίζουν πολύ περισσότερο απ' όσο δυστυχώς εκτιμήθηκαν. Όντας επιδραστικοί για
για αυτές τις ελαφρώς νεότερες μπάντες τόσο στη χώρα τους όσο κι εκτός, τους
ακούμε εδώ στο τέταρτο άλμπουμ τους. Οι άρχοντες το σκοτεινού ρομαντισμού όπως
αποκαλούνταν, σε πιο mainstream αν το θέλετε μουσικούς δρόμους, όχι ότι αυτό
είναι κακό! Κομμάτια σαν τα Call of the Wicked, The Beauty and the Beast,
Emerald Eye, Tigers of the Sea, Russia's on Fire (επειδή ζούμε σε πονηρούς
καιρούς, αναφέρεται στη μάχη του Μποροντίν των Ναπολεόντιων πολέμων!), Welcome
to Bedlam δίνουν το στίγμα τους και παραμένουν διαχρονικοί metal ύμνοι. Σε αυτή
την επανέκδοση υπάρχει σαν δωράκι ζωντανά ηχογραφημένη εμφάνιση τους από το
1990 που βοηθά στο να κατανοήσουμε ξανά το αξίωμα ότι ένα συγκρότημα μπορεί να
νοήειται μόνο όταν μπορεί να παίζει τη μουσική και του μπροστά στο κοινό.

Like many beasts, they gathered!
The German cult power metalers who remained in the
shadows of newer bands, even though they deserve much more recognition than
they unfortunately received. Influential for these slightly newer bands both in
their country and abroad, we listen to them here on their fourth album. The
lords of dark romanticism, as they were called, explore more mainstream musical
paths, not that this is a bad thing! Tracks like "Call of the
Wicked," "The Beauty and the Beast," "Emerald Eye," "Tigers
of the Sea," and "Russia's on Fire" (since we live in tricky
times, this refers to the Battle of Borodino during the Napoleonic Wars!), and
"Welcome to Bedlam" give their signature and remain timeless metal
anthems. In this reissue, there is a live recording from 1990 as a bonus, which
helps us understand once again the principle that a band can only be considered
complete when it can play its music in front of an audience.
