The band, despite being founded in 2020, has already graced us with its third full-length studio release, demonstrating a remarkable blend of productivity and creative spirit. The record label, which meticulously managed this project, notes that the band's sound draws inspiration from legendary and iconic names in the genre, such as early METAL CHURCH, VICIOUS RUMORS, LIZZY BORDEN, LEATHERWOLF, RUFFIANS, WARRIOR, and CHASTAIN.

Personally, I find it fascinating to seek influences that transcend the obvious. I ponder what common roots tie HIGHWAYS and the aforementioned bands. The answer seems clear: their fundamental influences include the legendary IRON MAIDEN, JUDAS PRIEST, and ACCEPT. Yet, HIGHWAYS adeptly infuse these influences with a distinctive American heavy metal aesthetic.

In the eight compositions of this album, listeners will be drawn into a realm of impeccably played heavy metal, performed with dedication and unparalleled technical prowess. The structure of the songs remains relatively simple but functional, maintaining an unwavering interest from start to finish, deftly avoiding contrived excesses and superfluous flamboyance. The guitar solos, which adorn the entire album, offer a vital detail to the compositions, rendering them unique.

Olha Lishchyshyn's performance soars to lofty heights, imbuing each song with vigor and passion. Her voice, both rich and commanding, reminds us why we loved and continue to love singers like Leather Leone, Doro, and Jutta Weinhold. Olha's delivery is truly mesmerizing, infusing each note with emotion and intensity.

If you revel in well-crafted heavy metal and hold bands like CHASTAIN, LIZZY BORDEN, and LEATHER in high esteem, then this album will offer you countless hours of musical delight. In essence, the quality of the production, coupled with the virtuosity of the band members, renders this album an intriguing proposition for aficionados of traditional heavy metal sound.
