Το τέλος μιας εποχής, η αρχή ενός άλλου συγκροτήματος...

Δεν εννοώ τους Avantasia το άλλο σχήμα του Tobias, του ηγέτη των πιτσιρικάδων (ακόμη τότε), οι Edguy μετά από τον Μανδρακα, ε είναι άλλο γκρουπ. Μουσικά, αισθητικά, γενικά αυτό είναι το τελευταίο τους καθαρά Power Metal δισκάκι μιας κι απο το Hellfire Club και μετα αρχισαν τα επικινδυνα για καθε metal group, πειραματα. Πρωτα τα συμφωνικα κι υστερα τα ψευδο-prog!  Έχει κι αυτό εδω κατι ψιλα θεματακια αλλά σε σχέση με τα επόμενα τους...ΔΙΣΚΑΡΑ!. Tears Of A Mandrake, Golden Dawn (σ.σ. οχι τα γνωστα ερπετα με μην ανησυχειτε!), Jerusalem, The Pharaoh, Fallen Angels ξεχωρίζουν.

The conclusion of an era, marking the inception of a new musical collective...

I'm not referring to Avantasia, the alternate endeavor of Tobias, but rather Edguy, the spearhead of the youth (at that time). Post-Mandrake, the band takes a different musical trajectory. This album stands as their final foray into the realm of pure Power Metal. Beyond the Hellfire Club era, they ventured into uncharted territories, engaging in audacious experiments. First, the symphonic, and later, the pseudo-prog! Despite some minor qualms, this album is a gem when contrasted with their subsequent works. Tracks like Tears Of A Mandrake, Golden Dawn (not the serpents you might be thinking of, no worries!), Jerusalem, The Pharaoh, and Fallen Angels truly shine.
