Το τελευταίο κλασσικό άλμπουμ των Άγγλων Metal ηγετών.

Το  "χαλαρό concept" όπως οι διάφοροι "συντάκτες" των γνωστών μουσικών εντύπων μας έμαθαν να το αποκαλούμε, με  την αέναη μάχη καλού και κακού να περιφέρεται τριγύρω απ' τον μυθικό έβδομο υιό. Οταν το καλοκαιρι του 1996 χώθηκα με τα μπούνια στους Maiden (αγόρασα Ιούλιο με το που έκλεισε το σχολείο τα LP Killers Και The Number of the Beast, Ιουλιο το Sevneth Son και μετά τέλη Αυγούστου /αρχές Σεπτεμβρίου τα Piece Of Mind Και Powerslave)  δεν μου είχε κάνει την σουπερ-ντουπερ εντύπωση! Η αλήθεια είναι ότι ακούγοντας το καπάκι μετά τα τρία πρώτα άλμπουμ τους, χωρίς να έχω συνειδητοποιήσει τι προηγήθηκε (το υπεραγαπημένο μου Somewhere On Time του '86), η εντύπωση μου ήταν και παραμένει ίδια. Υπερεκτίμηση για ένα άλμπουμ απλώς καλό. Infinite Dreams, The Evil That Men Do, Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son, The Prophecy, Only The Good Die Young αξίζουν τα λεφτά τους!

The latest masterpiece from the forefront of English metal. Dubbed a "relaxed concept" by music pundits, it unfolds as the eternal struggle of good and evil circles around the mythical seventh son. In the summer of 1996, I delved into the world of Maiden with fists full of enthusiasm (acquiring Killers and The Number of the Beast in July, followed by Seventh Son, and wrapping up with Piece Of Mind and Powerslave in late August/early September). Surprisingly, it failed to make a superlative impression on me. Truth be told, when I revisited it after their first three albums, and without fully grasping the context (given my deep love for Somewhere On Time from '86), my impression remained consistent. It seemed somewhat overrated for an album that is undeniably good. However, tracks like Infinite Dreams, The Evil That Men Do, Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son, The Prophecy, and Only The Good Die Young undoubtedly justify their acclaim and worth.
