ACCEPT, RUSSIAN RΟULETTE (1986)

Δίσκος σταθμός, ο τελευταίος σταθμός...

Η πιο μοντέρνα κι ίσως εμπορική στροφή στον ήχο τους με το κατά τα άλλα εκπληκτικό Metal Heart (1985) έχει επιστέγασμα αυτό εδώ. Μετά από την περιοδεία του '86 ο κοντός ξανθός (αριστερά στο εξώφυλλο με το πηλήκιο Ρώσσου αξιωματικου) με την φωνή πριονοκορδελλα, ο κος Udo Dirkschneider "την έκανε" αρνούμενος την ακόμα πιο εμπορικά αμερικάνικη τροχιά που ήθελαν τα υπόλοιπα μέλη και περνοντας μαζί του όσα κομμάτια είχαν σκαριφηθει από το σχήμα έγραψε το δικό του πρώτο σόλο Animal House (1987). Και τί μένει; Πολλά: T.V. War, Monsterman, Aiming High (το δικό τους Aces High έτσι;;;), Heaven Is Hell, Another Second To Be , Man Enough To Cry.

Disc station, the ultimate stop in their journey...

Embarking on their most modern and commercially appealing musical shift, Metal Heart (1985) stands out, reaching its zenith with this one. Following the '86 tour, the short blond figure (found on the left of the cover, sporting a Russian officer's hat) and the chainsaw-like voice, Udo Dirkschneider, chose a different path, steering away from the more commercially driven American direction sought by the other band members. Carrying with him the pieces they had crafted, he authored his inaugural solo endeavor, Animal House (1987). What endures? A wealth of tracks: T.V. War, Monsterman, Aiming High (their own Aces High, perhaps?), Heaven Is Hell, Another Second To Be, and Man Enough To Cry.
