Turbo καταστάσεις.

Ενώ οι νότες που τέσσερα χρόνια μετά θα δώσουν το Painkiller, είχαν αρχίσει να φαίνονται από το Defenders of the Faith του 1984, στο επόμενο άλμπουμ του 1986 , κυριαρχεί το συνθεσάιζερ ακριβώς όπως και στο Somewhere in Time των Maiden, αλλά εδώ, πιο εμπορικά κι ίσως πιο "AOR" , όμως υποβόσκει το κλασσικό ύφος της μπάντας αυτής...κι αν και η παραγωγή είναι υπέρ του δεόντως καθαρή και  λόγω των συνθεσάιζερ σχεδόν πλαστική , κάτι υπάρχει βαθιά στη μουσική που θα δώσει στο μέλλον τα Ram it Down & Painkiller. Κράτησα τον ερωτικό ύμνο...για μια μοτοσικλέτα Turbo Lover, το Out In The Cold , Rock You All Around The World και το Wild Nights Hot & Crazy Days.

"Turbo" situations.

In 1984's "Defenders of the Faith," the seeds of what would later become "Painkiller" began to sprout. However, it was in the 1986 album that the synthesizer took the spotlight, much like Iron Maiden's "Somewhere in Time." Here, the sound leaned towards a more commercial, almost "AOR" style, yet the band's classic essence remained intact.

The production boasted pristine clarity, almost reaching a polished, plastic-like perfection, thanks to the prominence of synthesizers. Yet, beneath this surface, a profound musical depth foreshadowed future releases, including "Ram it Down" and "Painkiller." Notably, I held onto the romantic anthem, an ode to a motorcycle, "Turbo Lover," alongside gems like "Out In The Cold," "Rock You All Around The World," and "Wild Nights Hot & Crazy Days."
