Το πρωτότυπο όλων των power metal άλμπουμ.

Το δεύτερο των Γερμανών μετά το Walls of Jericho, αλλά το πρώτο που ο νεαρός Michael Kiske θα χρωματίσει φωνητικά. Τότε ακόμα η έννοια power metal  δεν ήταν δόκιμη, αυτή η μουσική έπεφτε στον όρο "επικά" έστω κι αν δεν είχε σχέση με τις μουσικές των Manowar π.χ. Η συντριπτική πλειονότητα εδώ είναι γραμμένη από τους κυρίους Kai Hansen και Michael Kiske, το αποτέλεσμα τους δικαίωσε διαχρονικά. Όσο κι αν προτιμώ το Pt. II το πρώτο, έχει πάντα θέση κι αυτό πολύ υψηλή. Κομμάτια σαν τα A Little Time, Twilight Of The Gods, Future World και το δεκαπενταλεπτο έπος Halloween δύσκολα ξεχνιούνται....

The quintessential power metal album that laid the foundation for the genre's ascent.

Following 'Walls of Jericho,' it was German's second offering, but it introduced the world to the young Michael Kiske and his remarkable vocal prowess. Back then, the term 'power metal' had yet to be fully defined; this music was often dubbed 'epic,' even though its style diverged from the likes of Manowar. The lion's share of the album's compositions came from the talented duo of Kai Hansen and Michael Kiske, and their enduring brilliance speaks volumes. While I personally favor Part II, the first installment retains a cherished spot in many hearts. Tracks like 'A Little Time,' 'Twilight Of The Gods,' 'Future World,' and the epic fifteen-minute journey of 'Halloween' are unforgettable musical treasures.
