The album "Grasp!!!" by FACTORY OF ART isn't a recent release; it dates back to 1996. FACTORY OF ART, a German band, was formed in 1990, and their debut album came out in 1996. They had an active period from 1990 to 2006 and later reactivated in 2019 to work on new material. In light of this, they sent me their earlier material for review.

"Grasp!!!" is a complex album within the progressive power/heavy metal genre. Its intricate compositions are known for their melody and technicality, but what sets them apart is their ability to maintain accessibility and evoke emotions in listeners, making the album an enjoyable experience.

While it's challenging to draw direct comparisons to other bands, influences from QUEENSRYCHE are apparent, and there are sonic similarities to fellow German band LANFEAR, providing a sense of what to expect.

Notably, Chris Boltendahl (GRAVE DIGGER) contributes to the tracks "Until the End of Time" and "Live Fast," with additional participation from Alex Krull, known from ATROCITY and LEAVES' EYES, in the latter composition.

In summary, "Grasp!!!" introduces an intriguing band within the progressive heavy/power metal genre. They showcase creativity, technical prowess, and a well-balanced approach that avoids overwhelming theatrics. Whether you're a seasoned fan of this genre or new to it, this album offers a compelling opportunity to explore FACTORY OF ART's music.
