GAME ZERO – Rise Review

GAME ZERO – Rise
Agoge Records
By reading the biography of GAME ZERO I realized that finding the right people to co-work and coincidence can play a catalytic role in order to move forward with your career. Of course you can’t depend only on that, but you must also be talented and work hard to achieve what you want. So, having all these GAME ZERO in a short time managed to release their debut album which I am about to present to you here.

The elements that characterize this release from the first spins are the melodies and the steady rhythm section along with some grooves. I think that the music of GAME ZERO can be perfectly described as hard rock with some melodic metal elements. GAME ZERO’s sound balances somewhere between modern and old school hard rock/melodic metal and they also have some alternative and punk rock touches (just check out the song “Look at You” which has an OFFSPRING touch).

“Rise” is an album that you can listen to easily and have a really nice time. It is an album full of melodies and sing along moments and of course it has variety. My personal favorites from the album are the songs “Time is Broken (Rise)”, “Lions and Lambs” and “Look at You” which are the heavier in this release.

Before I close this review I have also to mention that the song “The City with No Ends” which is included here is the main title track of the animated movie "East End”.
