KILLERS LODGE - Alma Cachonda review

How cachondo are you feeling right now? Maybe the most proper answer is how cachondo do you feel when you listen to heavy metal music? Well, this is a question that each one can answer personally after you listen to the sophomore release of the Italian band KILLERS LODGE.

Musically the band seems to draw inspiration from the late 70’s and early 80’s heavy metal sound. Actually I have to say that their main influence comes from Great Britain, although they are from Italy. They have a raw sound that also has a lot of melody in it and above all a rock ‘n’ roll attitude. In my ears they sound like MOTORHEAD playing N.W.O.B.H.M. music. The band also has some punk and even thrash metal elements in its sound that gives to it more depth and a rebellious attitude.
The production of this release might have been done with the use of modern technology, but it is done in a way that the ‘80s bands used to record their albums. KILLERS LODGE manage to give this live feeling to every song that is included here and this actually makes them sound more vivid and intense.
KILLERS LODGE seem to have a horny heart for heavy metal and rock ‘n’ roll and in a way sound like the spiritual children of Mr. Lemmy (RIP). So if you are into this kind of music, then you have to check their second full length release out.
