TSVET REPTILIA - Nomen Mihi Legio Est, Quia Multi Sumus review

TSVET REPTILIA - Nomen Mihi Legio Est, Quia Multi Sumus
Independent
Extreme metal music isn’t the prerogative of northern cold countries only, but it can flourish and find fertile ground even in hot climates. TSVET REPTILIA is a bright example of what I just said since they hail from the United Arab Emirates and more specifically they come from Dubai. This quintet was formed in 2002 so as you can see it took them a long time, actually thirteen years if we want to be precise to release their debut work.

However, they never gave up, they struggled and they persevered! “Nomen Mihi Legio Est, Quia Multi Sumus” is their first work and in fact it is an EP containing 4 tracks of brutal and relentless death/black metal. I’ll start with the vocals that are really nice and you’ll be able to listen to two vocal styles… the typical brutal death metal guttural vocals and the black metal growling/screaming type. The rhythm section is heavy and insane with an ultra fast speed and a chaotic, demonic atmosphere surrounding it and some elaborate guitar work accompanying it whenever it is necessary to underline the aggressiveness of the songs. Needless to say since this is a brutal death/black metal release you won’t find much of a melody here, apart from the necessary passages. This is extreme venomous metal filled with vehemence and rage. The fans of the sound should give it a try; let the head banging begin!
