GABRIELE BELLINI – Acoustic Spaces review

 GABRIELE BELLINI – Acoustic Spaces
Qua Rock Records
I have presented to you recently the solo work of the virtuoso guitarist Gabriele Bellini. He is a guitarist that moves in all the genres of rock and metal and because of that he has a sound full of variety. This release as you can notice from the title is based on the acoustic guitar and as the artist says, this is an album that he composed in a short time and more specifically in a month because of his inspiration. So let us see what this new album is all about.
THE COVER: The cover I think is the usual one you can see on such a release. So don’t expect to see paintings of fantasy landscapes etc. It is just a picture of Gabriele holding his acoustic guitar. I think it underlines what you can expect to listen to here.
MUSICAL STYLE: As I mentioned above Gabriele is a guitarist that has a variety of influences and the technical ability to move in different genres of rock and metal music without losing his strong musical identity. The new album proves that he is also gifted with the acoustic guitar. The songs here move from symphonic rock/metal like the opening and closing tracks (“Season Zero” and “Skyland”) which by the way could be perfect for a movie soundtrack (epic or sci-fi themed) to more up tempo and rock and roll like “Squisio!”. There are also songs that have a bluesy touch and in general you can find here a composition for every taste and yet it is an album that is solid and above all very straight forward. It is a work of instant inspiration and this most of the times gives great songs.
CONCLUSION: In my opinion Gabrielle did well that released this album because it is beautiful full of catchy melodies and songs that you want to listen to again after the CD finishes. It is a beautiful journey to melody and music and shows how expressive a guitar can be to the hands of a talented and capable artist.
