Canada has long been a source of dynamic and high-quality bands in the metal music scene, and Antioch is no exception. With the release of their new album, *Gates Of Obliteration*, set for September 27, 2024, the band continues to strengthen this tradition, delivering an album brimming with intensity, passion, and character.

This album is deeply rooted in the classic sound of Judas Priest, a source of inspiration that Antioch proudly embraces and evolves, adding their own distinct mark. This influence is immediately apparent in the track "Onward with Obliteration," which pulses with speed and energy, strongly reminiscent of the Exciter's aesthetic. The contrasts and diverse influences persist in the song "Understand," where the fusion of Running Wild, Accept, and 3 Inches of Blood creates an explosive result that is sure to thrill any heavy metal enthusiast.

However, Antioch doesn’t simply replicate or rehash the past. Their "epic" moments, scattered throughout the album, carry the power of Manowar, adding depth and complexity to the overall work.

Another highlight worth mentioning is the voice of Nicholas Allaire. His performance on *Gates Of Obliteration* is a blend of influences from legendary vocalists like Cronos (Venom), Cam Pipes (3 Inches of Blood), Udo, and King Diamond. The result is a vocal delivery that perfectly complements the style and philosophy of Antioch.

In conclusion, Antioch does not disappoint with *Gates Of Obliteration*. They remain true to their roots and their beloved genre, offering an album full of classic heavy metal infused with modern energy and emotion. Once again, they prove they know how to win over the hearts of their fans.
