Τον ξέρει τελικά κανένας άλλος;

Μιλάμε για τον Chris Imppelliteri, κιθαρίστα με χαρακτηριστικά αλάνθαστο τρόπο παιξίματος και σύνθεσης που μαζί με τους συνεργάτες του Rob Rock σε φωνή κι Ken Mary σε ντραμς έχουν γράψει μερικά απ'τα πιο "άγνωστα" στο ευρύ κοινό Heavy Metal αλμπουμ. Αν σκεφτούμε ότι στο ντεμπούτο άλμπουμ Stand in Line  τα φωνητικά ήταν του Graham Bοnnet (Rainbow, M.S.G., Alcatrazz) καταλαβαίνουμε την αξία του ως οντότητα. Εδώ στο διπλό αυτό CD του άλμπουμ του 1997 που στην επανέκδοση έχει το μίνι άλμπουμ του '93, ακούμε κλασικό U.S. Heavy με τα υπέρ - χαρακτηριστικά, πληθωριστικά καθαριστικά σόλο το Chris να ντύνουν τις συνθέσεις. Το υπόλοιπο σχήμα αποτελούν ο μπασίστας James Amelio Pulli και ο πληκτράς Edward Harris Roth. Η νεοκλασικού τύπου συνθέσεις που βρίσκονται ανάμεσα στις σκληρές rock μελωδίες του δίσκου, φέρνουν στο μυαλό τον έτερο βιρτουόζο Y.J. Malmsteen αλλά είναι ένα πολύ, ευτυχώς, αμυδρό μετρό σύγκρισης. Κομμάτια σαν το ομώνυμο του δίσκου που ανοίγει το σύνολο, τα Shed Your Blood, Bleed in Silence, Master of Disguise, Everything is You, Kingdom Fighter, Paradise απ' το άλμπουμ κι τα Warrior, Fly Away και το ομώνυμο απ'  το Victim of the System, είναι πραγματικά ένας χαμένος θησαυρός κομματιών μέσα στη πλειάδα άλμπουμ γνωστών και γνωστότερων συγκροτημάτων.

We're talking about Chris Impellitteri, a guitarist with a uniquely flawless playing and composing style. Along with his collaborators, Rob Rock on vocals and Ken Mary on drums, they've produced some of the most "unknown" Heavy Metal albums to the general public. When you consider that the vocals on their debut album *Stand in Line* were performed by Graham Bonnet (Rainbow, M.S.G., Alcatrazz), you can appreciate their value as a band. On this double CD, which includes their 1997 album along with the reissued 1993 mini-album, we hear classic U.S. Heavy Metal with Chris's over-the-top, technically brilliant solos adding depth to the compositions. The rest of the lineup consists of bassist James Amelio Pulli and keyboardist Edward Harris Roth. The neoclassical compositions, which sit between the hard rock melodies of the album, bring to mind another virtuoso, Yngwie J. Malmsteen, though thankfully, the comparison is only faint. Tracks like the album's title track, *Shed Your Blood*, *Bleed in Silence*, *Master of Disguise*, *Everything is You*, *Kingdom Fighter*, *Paradise* from the album, and *Warrior*, *Fly Away*, and the title track from *Victim of the System*, are truly lost treasures among the plethora of albums by more well-known bands.
