Οι Queensryche vs Iron Maiden του Portland, στο μοναδικό τους άλμπουμ το ομώνυμο τους ένα πραγματικό κόσμημα για το U.S. Power Metal. Ένα πραγματικό cult διαμάντι του είδους που αν και βγήκε σε μία εποχή ακόμη ακμής , δυστυχώς δεν είχε συνέχεια. Queensrÿche meets Iron Maiden from Portland in their self-titled debut album, a true gem of U.S. Power Metal. This cult classic, despite being released during a thriving era, unfortunately, did not have a follow-up. The four friends who comprise Gargoyle—Tim Lachman on vocals, Kevin Sanders on guitar, David Kendall on drums, and Doug Smith on bass—offer a single masterpiece with the ten tracks of this album, a true oasis for fans of the classic '80s sound. Memorable moments include "Nothing is Sacred," "The Burning," "Aryan Diplomacy," "Final Victory," "Out from the Shadows," "Dark Mirror Dream," and "Blind Faith," to name a few favorites. The reissue includes two discs; the second features twelve additional tracks from rehearsals, demo recordings, and other goodies that make life more interesting for the average metalhead.
