Σιχαθήκαμε να ακούμε στο EuroBasket '87 το ομώνυμο τραγούδι.

Έχω πει και πάντα θα το λέω: Κάτι Poison, Def Leppard, Warrant, Cinderella, Bon Jovi, White Lion, Ratt και λοιπές λιγδωμένες με μέικ-απ μπάντες με τα ανάλογα λεοπάρδαλα ρούχα, ροζ κραγιόν και μαλλί βαμμένο ξανθό με πολλή λακ ανήκουν στον βόθρο της hard rock/hair metal σκηνής. Ε λοιπόν, υπάρχουν δύο (και οι KISS μετά το 1983, τρεις) εξαιρέσεις, η μία είναι οι Whitesnake απ' το 1987 και μετά (Coverdale, σεβασμός!), η άλλη είναι αυτοί εδώ οι Σουηδοί. Το οριακά Euro Power metal στα δύο πρώτα τους άλμπουμ αποκτά πλέον γυαλιστερή Glam/Hair Metal δομή και πολλά πλήκτρα, αφού πλέον η πενταμελής σύνθεση έχει επίσημα και πληκτρά, οπότε σιγά σιγά μεταλλάσσεται από εδώ σε κάτι που θα περίμενε κανείς να έχει γραφτεί από "απέναντι". Ο αμέριστος σεβασμός μου για τον κιθαρίστα τους John Norum και σε αυτό το άλμπουμ επιβεβαιώνει την τέχνη του και συνθετικά. Βέβαια, με το που το έγραψε, έφυγε από το συγκρότημα λόγω μουσικών (κι άλλων) διαφωνιών. Τα "Danger On The Track", "Ninja", "Cherokee", φυσικά το "The Final Countdown", "Rock The Night", "Love Chaser" μας μένουν σαν οι καλύτερες στιγμές τους.

We got sick of hearing the eponymous song at EuroBasket '87.

I have said and will always say: Bands like Poison, Def Leppard, Warrant, Cinderella, Bon Jovi, White Lion, Ratt, and other greasy makeup-wearing bands with matching leopard print clothes, pink lipstick, and heavily sprayed blonde hair belong in the cesspool of the hard rock/hair metal scene. Well, there are two exceptions (three if you count KISS after 1983): one is Whitesnake from 1987 onwards (respect to Coverdale!), and the other is this Swedish band. Their borderline Euro Power metal sound on their first two albums has now evolved into a glossy Glam/Hair Metal structure with many keyboards, as the five-member lineup officially includes a keyboardist. Thus, they slowly transform into something you would expect from "the other side". My utmost respect goes to their guitarist John Norum, who confirms his artistic and compositional skills in this album. However, after writing it, he left the band due to musical (and other) disagreements. "Danger On The Track", "Ninja", "Cherokee", of course "The Final Countdown", "Rock The Night", and "Love Chaser" remain as their best moments.
