KROKUS – Headhunter

Metal music never felt like just a passing phase for me. It's this unexplored world that keeps surprising and exciting me every time.

Recently stumbled upon the Swiss band KROKUS and their killer album "Headhunter." I mean, how can you not love an album with riffs that clearly nod to AC/DC, JUDAS PRIEST, LED ZEPPELIN, and SAXON, but still manages to have its own vibe? KROKUS brings this straightforward energy to their music, spicing it up with cool and skilled solos that sometimes give a nod to Chuck Berry's legacy. And let's not forget Marc Storace's voice—like a mix of Robert Plant and "Bon" Scott.

Every track hits the right notes, making me enjoy it more each time. And for some reason, every time I play this album, I end up craving SAXON's "Denim And Leather" right after.
