HVALROSS is back with their brand new single ‘MERCENARY KNIGHT”

 

Hvalross is a four-piece hard rock band hailing not from Norway, as their name might suggest, but from the southern region of the Netherlands. The band officially came into existence in the spring of 2018, yet its members have been immersed in the world of rock since their teenage years in the late eighties. Hvalross pays homage to that era, drawing upon the hard rock and heavy metal sounds of the seventies and eighties as the foundation of their music and lyrics. They also infuse their sound with elements from contemporary stoner and heavy rock genres.

Their musical influences are reminiscent of iconic bands like Mastodon, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, and Iron Maiden. When you experience Hvalross, you can anticipate the classic, tight-knit setup of a four-piece rock band, resembling their heroes Black Sabbath. Their music features melodic, classic hard rock vocals set against a powerful and rhythmic backdrop, creating a heavy, monstrous sound akin to a charging walrus, complemented by an electrifying stage presence.

In October 2020, Hvalross released their debut album, 'Cold Dark Rain,' on major streaming platforms. Paying tribute to the nostalgia of the eighties, the album was also released on vinyl in a distinctive 'cold rain' color. The album received positive reviews, and Hvalross secured representation from Hard Life Promotions. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic hindered their live promotional efforts and led to the departure of their original drummer, Tristan, in 2021. Nevertheless, Hvalross swiftly regrouped with their good friend and drummer, Marc, and are determined to continue producing new music for the world. Following their previous release, "Running the Gauntlet," the band is now excited to present their latest offering, "MERCENARY KNIGHT"!
