1) Hello and how are you first of all?

Hi bro, I’m fine thanks.

2) You have released  your sophomore album entitled “The Dawn Of Ares”. How do you feel about it? Which are the new things that you have tried here in comparison with your debut album?

“THE DAWN OF ARES” is out since the 25 of june and we all are really happy and satisfied. The album sounds strong, massive and fresh, a big step forward Filthgrinder. The violence and rawness of Filthgrinder are present by the way, but this time we were able to create something of more sophisticated. It sounds really devastating.

3) Often we read musicians that want to change things after they listen to the album that have released. Do you have the same reaction? Can we say that in the next release you try to fix the things that you didn’t like in your previous work?

I: Well, when we publish an album we are always fully satisfied of the final result without feeling the need to change anything. I don’t like musicians who say they want to change things on the album after publishing. It looks like a stupid joke. Obviously we tried to improve ourselves on every album, we tried to things always better not because we don’t like what we have done, just because an artist has always to try to improve himself.

4) Do you feel the pressure or the anxiety that in every release you must sound original? How do you deal with such kind of thoughts?

I: Never felt anxiety or pressure. We play what we like and what we feel, nothing more.

5) By the way how do you define originality in a musical work?

I prefer to find personality instead of originality. You can play classic Metal with no originality but in a very personal way. 

6) From the little I did catch the album deals about war. Can you tell us how did you come up with this idea and how do you develop it in your new release?

I always thought that war always is a very interesting topic. It concerns several aspects of the human being like pain, suffering, hate, strength, instinct, solitude, death. When you talk about war you can treat various faces of the thing, under many aspects and way of writing.

7) Your new release finds you also in a new label. Why did this happen and what do you expect from your new label to do more in comparison with your previous one?

Iron Shield is a very very good label and Thomas is a great person who believes in his bands. The previous one was very good but not much into Thrash Metal. I hope that we will be able to do great thing with Iron Shield by our side.

8) How the whole pandemic thing has affected you as persons and musicians? Do you think that the whole thing was used by governments in order to restrain people’s rights?

Fucking pandemic changed and stopped our lives and artists are maybe one of the more damaged categories. It seems things are improving now thanks to the vaccines. About governments, well, I prefer to not talk of politics. 

9) What kind of reactions did you receive from the press so far for your new album? Which is the most interesting comment that you had received and you would like to share with us?

Responses are really awesome and satisfying, the album is getting fantastic reviews everywhere. A very interesting comment was “the god of war likes Slayer so he will love Xenos…” Something like that.

10) Why someone should listen to your album ““The Dawn Of Ares”? Which is the first reason that comes to your mind?

Thrash Metal at 100%, technical, fast, aggressive and violent. Are these good reasons? Ahahahah.

11) You are also members of the band EVERSIN. In what status is the band at the moment? Do you have any material ready?

Eversin are sleeping, and I really don’t know if they will ever wake up. My priority is XENOS.
