EVERSIN - Armageddon Genesi Review

EVERSIN - Armageddon Genesi

My Kingdom Music

The fourth full length studio release of EVERSIN has the title “Armageddon Genesi” and will be released in June this year. The release comes three years after their previous full length release entitled “Trinity: The Annihilation” and two years after their EP titled “Flaggelum Dei”.

The title of the band’s new album has an interesting contradiction since the 2 words that are part of it are quite opposite to each other. We have the word Armageddon which has to do with destruction and on the other hand the word “Genesi” that actually means birth and it has to do with creativity. However, history teaches us that from destruction comes creation. At least this is what has happened so many times in human history.

Musically, besides the gap between the previous releases, the band has sustained the elements that make its sound recognizable. This means that EVERSIN continue to deliver their modern thrash metal sound enhanced with grooves. They have a compact and thick sound production that adds up to the whole result and they don’t hesitate to enrich their music with elements from other metal genres like progressive metal for example. So, this release sounds aggressive and yet dark. In order to give you some hints of how “Armageddon Genesi” sounds I would ask you to imagine a combination between SEPULTURA, KREATOR and NEVERMORE. Having all these in mind while you listen to the new release of EVERSIN you will realize they have created an album that can be described as the soundtrack for Armageddon.

So, if you like your thrash metal, aggressive, dark and not compromised, then “Armageddon Genesi” is an album that you should check out.
