THE ORDER OF CHAOS – Night Terror EP Review

THE ORDER OF CHAOS – Night Terror EP

Killer Metal Records

Canada is one of the countries that have a great metal scene. I think everyone who listens to metal music has at least one band from there he appreciates a lot. THE ORDER OF CHAOS is a female fronted metal band that hails from there and if you read our webzine then you will remember that we have presented here their previous albums as wel. This time the band decided to release a 3 track EP which consists of the following songs: 1. Night Terror, 2. False Security and 3. New World Order.

The band once again delivers 3 metal compositions that balance between traditional heavy metal and modern metal. Once again the sound of the band balances between melodic lines and aggressive riffs and Amanda’s voice (who is also the singer of INTO ETERNITY) moves from clean metal and rockin’ vocals to harsh ones. Actually the whole music fits their lyrics which are about themes of inner struggle and a criticism on our modern society.

So, in their new EP the band continues to offer us the music they have got us used to with their previous album which is a combination of traditional heavy, groove and melodic death metal. As for me I can compare the band with groups like late JUDAS PRIEST (mostly the “Jugulator” and “Demoliton” era), 3 INCHES OF BLOOD, INTO ETERNITY and ARCH ENEMY. In my opinion this is an interesting release for a fan of modern heavy metal, especially if you like some grooves and melodic modern death/thrash metal elements.
