FRANK X – From Planet X Review

FRANK X – From Planet X

Independent

You see one of the reasons that I like metal music is because it attracts some really crazy guys (in a positive way crazy) like Frank who have an overdeveloped imagination and a really great sense of humor.  Frank for the last 30 years expresses his imagination through different kinds of forms like poetry, directing and acting 3D animation, movie scripts and of course music. So, having this long time experience he wanted to create an epic trilogy whose purpose is to entertain you and make you laugh.

So, this is the third part of the epic trilogy about how Lucifer wants to conquer earth and all humanity and I think that explains the reasons why the devil holds such a grudge to god, because he is such a loser to a point that you feel sorry for the guy. The album has the magic to make you feel that you are actually watching a movie and keeps your interest from the first till the last second. As for the story or script of these albums it is as if the creators of Southpark, the Monty Pythons and Mel Brooks have cooperated together in order to create an epic metal comedy.

As for the music, I think that is crazy like the whole story of the album. I mean that Frank combines many different metal styles like heavy, thrash and even progressive metal and also introduces instruments like the saxophone that we have not got used to hearing so much in our sound and he actually manages to craft a solid and consistent sound with a lot of variety.

This is a very good release for the progressive metal sound and I can recommend it easily even to people that are not fans of the genre. One thing is for sure, that you will have a good time listening to it.
