KINGS WILL FALL – Thrash Force. One Review

KINGS WILL FALL – Thrash Force. One

Independent

Yes, we all know that Italy has a very interesting power metal scene and if you are not convinced, just check out the previous releases that I reviewed and I mean ALTAIR and KALEDON. With KINGS WILL FALL, though, we enter into more aggressive fields, although their name might make you think that we deal with an epic metal band. The title of their debut album can’t be more straight forward and into the point.

KINGS WILL FALL was formed in 2013 in Italy and in 2015 they released their EP entitled “Death Comes Early”. Two years after that and in February 2017 they released their debut album which I am about to present to you here.

The band, as the title of their album mentions, play thrash metal influenced from the 80’s with a contemporary sound though. I think that a big influence for them are definitely bands like KREATOR and SODOM, but they also have some U.S. thrash metal references and especially to SLAYER. They do also blend in their sound some 80’s hardcore and punk elements that fit quite wel to the music they play and there are even touches of MOTORHEAD if you can believe me. If you don’t, then let me show you that they didn’t choose by chance to cover the song “We Are Motorhead” with which they close their album. Finally the voice of Fabian is harsh and sometimes enters the fields of death metal and I think that these are mainly the death metal elements you can find in the sound of KINGS WILL FALL.

In their debut album KINGS WILL FALL show passion, nice riffs and they are aggressive as hell. These are elements that every thrash metal maniac around the world who thinks high of himself/herself appreciates.
