METAL WITCH – Tales from the Underground Review

METAL WITCH – Tales from the Underground
Iron Shield Records
The story of METAL WITCH can be described as one of true love for the heavy metal sound and determination. The band was formed in 1985, but they managed to release their very good debut album in 2008. This is their sophomore release and it comes 8 years after their debut. They sure don’t like to rush things.

The question that rises here is what you will get from this album. You just have to answer if you like the German heavy metal sound. Personally speaking it is my favorite and this is a release that left me satisfied. Heavy metal based on riffs and melody with harsh vocals and sing along choruses. I think that if you enjoy ACCEPT, early GRAVE DIGGER (who doesn’t), TYRANT and UNREST, then you will find a great treat here. There are also some JUDAS PRIEST elements and a rock ‘n’ roll attitude especially in the song “Heavy and Roll” which also reminded me of their compatriots GUN BARREL.

METAL WITCH play German heavy metal and they prove that are truly made for it. So, the people who love this sound will enjoy this release very much.
