PULSE – R – Across the Sky review

 PULSE – R – Across the Sky
Qua Rock Records
Our fear about insects is something instinctive. Even the bravest of us might get scared by some kind of insect or at least feel disgust. The cover of PULSE – R which depicts an insect as we see it through a microscope shows us that they are impressive in their own way. So the message is clear, don’t judge anyone and anything only by their appearance.

PULSE – R is the band of guitarist Gabriele Bellini whose personal works we have presented to you here. On PULSE – R, though he follows a slightly different path than his personal albums, but his style is still here and recognizable. The sound of PULSE – R is an amalgam of different musical styles that the band manages to combine and create a solid sound. The band has the groovy elements that you can meet in such bands like RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, some rap metal moments that bring to mind RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE and plenty of alternative rock elements that are close to SMASHIN PUMPKINS. Their sound is energetic and fresh with lots of experimentations, but above all it is straight forward and easy to listen to.
“Across the Sky” is definitely not my kind of sound, but I think that the people who enjoy alternative rock music with a strong metal dose will like this band.
