Πριν γίνουν γνωστοί. 

Οι Άγγλοι αυτοί θα έχουν τεράστια επιρροή στην ευρύτερη σκηνή της δεκαετίας του '90. Στη δεύτερη τους προσπάθεια, μετά το ντεμπούτο τους «Lost Paradise», έχουμε ένα κράμα από death, doom και μια ασθενή δόση gothic metal, με έμφαση περισσότερο στο πρώτο. Σίγουρα, ο Nick Holmes έχει πολύ χαρακτηριστικό growl στη φωνή. Σε κομμάτια όπως το «Shattered», δοκιμάζει τις καθαρές νότες του και εκεί ακούγεται goth! Ένας δίσκος που μας δείχνει την κλιμακωτή αλλαγή στυλ για την οποία θα γίνουν γνωστοί. Το αξίωμα ότι κανένας δίσκος τους δεν μοιάζει με τον προηγούμενο έχει αφετηρία αυτόν εδώ. Ο Gregor Macintosh και ο Aaron Aedy παίζουν κιθάρες, ο Stephen Edmondson το μπάσο και ο Mathew Archer τα ντραμς. Η σύνθεσή τους και τα albums «Gothic», «Dead Emotion», το γνωστό και αγαπημένο «Eternal», «Rapture», «Falling Forever» και το νέο mix του «Rotting Misery» είναι κλασικά σημεία αυτού του δίσκου. Μετά, θα ξεκινήσει η μεγάλη εποχή τους και η αναγνώρισή τους με το επόμενο, το πρώτο κλασικό τους άλμπουμ «Shades of God».

These English musicians will have a huge influence on the broader scene of the 1990s. In their second effort, after their debut “Lost Paradise”, we get a blend of death, doom, and a faint dose of gothic metal, with more emphasis on the first. Certainly, Nick Holmes has a very distinctive growl in his voice. In tracks like “Shattered”, he experiments with clean vocals, and that's where the goth element comes through! This album shows the gradual stylistic shift they would become known for. The idea that no two of their albums sound alike starts here. Gregor Macintosh and Aaron Aedy play guitars, Stephen Edmondson handles the bass, and Mathew Archer drums. Their lineup and albums such as “Gothic”, “Dead Emotion”, the well-known and beloved “Eternal”, “Rapture”, “Falling Forever”, and the new remix of “Rotting Misery” are classic highlights of this record. Afterwards, their great era begins, with recognition coming through their next album, the first of their true classics: “Shades of God”.
