Επανενωσαρα, δισκάρα, μερσυφουλαρα!

Η έννοια του reunion έχει τιμηθεί δεόντως στη μουσική μας. Accept, Black Sabbath, Grave Digger, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest.....συμπληρώστε ελεύθερα όσα άλλα γκρουπ επανένωσαν την κλασσική τους σύνθεση. Στη κατηγορία αυτή και οι πρωτοπόροι των αρχών των 80's από την Κοπεγχάγη. Η διάλυσή τους το 1985 μετά από μόλις τέσσερα χρόνια, ένα μίνι άλμπουμ και δύο πλήρη άλμπουμ, δημιούργησε το προσωπικό σχήμα του King Diamond με Michael Denner και Timi Hansen και τους AOR/ hair metal Fate του Hank Sherman. Οι μεν έδωσαν πέντε δίσκους σεμινάριο ως το 1990, οι δε....έναν κι αυτόν μέτριο. Έτσι στις αρχές των 90's και μετά την συλλογή Return of the Vampire με τα demo των M.F. από το 1982-83 το ενδιαφέρον αναζωπυρώθηκε.Τα 3/4 της αρχικής σύνθεσης (Diamond, Denner, Sherman, Hansen) με τον Snowy Shaw τον ντράμερ από τους King Diamond, αλλά κι ειδική συμμετοχή τον πατριώτη τους Lars Ulrich των Metallica στο επανηχογραφημενο Return Of The Vampire, γράφουν το In The Shadows. Μοντέρνο και κλασικό μαζί με ύμνους σαν τα Egypt, The Old Oak,  The Bell Witch, Thirteen Invitations, Room Of Golden Air, Is That You Melissa, Legend Of The Headless Rider.

Reunion—a sublime masterpiece steeped in nostalgia!

The homage to iconic reunions reverberates in the tapestry of our music history, with luminaries like Accept, Black Sabbath, Grave Digger, Iron Maiden, and Judas Priest, to name a few. Feel free to augment the list with other revered groups that have gracefully resurrected their classic lineups. Among these, the early '80s pioneers from Copenhagen stand tall.

Their dissolution in 1985, after a brief four-year journey, one mini-album, and two full-length records, gave rise to King Diamond's solo odyssey alongside Michael Denner and Timi Hansen. Concurrently, Fate, the AOR/hair metal maestros with Hank Sherman, made their mark. While the former bestowed upon us five seminal albums by 1990, the latter, alas, presented only one—a shadow of its potential.

The early '90s witnessed a rekindling of fervor, sparked by the 'Return of the Vampire' compilation featuring MF's demos from 1982-83. Enter 'In The Shadows,' a collaborative symphony by three-quarters of the original lineup (Diamond, Denner, Sherman, Hansen), augmented by Snowy Shaw, the rhythmic pulse from King Diamond. Noteworthy is the cameo by Lars Ulrich from Metallica on the reimagined 'Return of the Vampire.'

The outcome? A modern yet timeless opus, featuring soul-stirring anthems—'Egypt,' 'The Old Oak,' 'The Bell Witch,' 'Thirteen Invitations,' 'Room Of Golden Air,' 'Is That You Melissa,' and 'Legend Of The Headless Rider.'"
