SCIENCE OF DISORDER – Private Hell Review

SCIENCE OF DISORDER – Private Hell

Fastball Music

SCIENCE OF DISORDER are from Switzerland and they might have released only two full length albums but they really have a long career in the metal scene of their country. The birth of the band was in 1989 under the name SOULLESS in 1989 which they kept until 2011. In 2011 they changed their name into SCIENCE OF DISORDER and they released their debut album entitled “Heart, Blood and Tears…” and 7 years later in 2018 they are back with their sophomore release entitled “Private Hell”.

The band was presented to me as a thrash metal group which, based on what I listen to, tells half the story of what we really have here. First of all for thrash metal band SCIENCE OF DISORDER don’t emphasize too much on playing as fast as they can, since most of their songs have this mid tempo almost doomy touch. Also the voice of Jerome T. reminded me in the way he sings the technique of Warrel Dane. So, in order to give you a clue of how the band sounds I have to compare them with bands like SEPULTURA, NEVERMORE and PANTERA.

The whole album has this dark and aggressive feeling that fits the lyrics and in general it is a release that balances between the modern and old school sound of thrash metal with a lot of progressive touches in the way that NEVERMORE introduced them to us. It is a very interesting release that won’t disappoint you if you choose to purchase it.
