It's been a long while since MONSTROSITY released a full-length album. But it definitely was worth the wait in gold. This isn't a "typical" death metal album.  The production quality was not the greatest, though. It sounded a bit flat. But that doesn't take away from the magic of the album. Almost 60 minutes of pure awesome riff-tastic songs. I don't think that there's a song on here that I didn't like. The reason is the music is really fresh and noteworthy. They play fast and technical, the music just grapples you. It really makes a difference when you're hearing brand new different sounds as well as vocals.

Brutal Swedish death metal in the vein of ENTOMBED, though this one has a little more insane vocals. The guitars are heavy and the atmosphere totally grim, dark, depressing. This is one of their heavier releases. The old school ENTRAILS reflected solely that of ENTOMBED, almost a replica. But now it seems like they're venturing away from their roots and coming into their own. 'World Inferno' is a combination of growling/screaming, insane guitars, pounding drums and furious tempos. The production quality on this is quite good. I think it does the band justice in that department, more so than past releases.

I'm not sure if this album was worth 5 years upon arising, but I gave it a "B" anyway since DEICIDE is still playing aggressive death metal after 30+ years of being in existence.  I'm going to say it but I always liked them the most with the Hoffman brothers in the band. They just were so much more creative from their debut all the way up unto 'Scars of the Crucifix'. But now with newer lineups Ralph Santolla's passing and recruiting members to that of the likes of Cannibal Corpse, Order of Ennead, and Monstrosity things will never be the same again. Nothing can replace the innovative first two releases. But this is them now.

AGON - Hollowed Lake

American Atmospheric Black Metal band Agon released their debut album «Hollowed Lake». The album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Andre Basora in "Blackened Remains Studio".

The band was formed in 2018 in Miami, Florida as a solo project of Andre Basora who wrote and recorded all his music.

Well, have you ever made mistakes with your judgment? Ever criticize something or somebody and then you realize that you were wrong? Well I have… some time ago, I had the chance to hear a part of the preproduction of this recording with rough vocals and totally rough mixed sound... actually through the discussions with the guitarist, I told my exact opinion… the sound was rough, the production needed work but the magic of heavy metal was all around. The guy I was talking with was partly offended yet he understood and then we parted ways...

Front man Paul Tucker does a good job of songwriting here, producing some pretty intensive blackened thrash metal. I'd say it's a step-up from 'Worship the Devil'. It's stronger in the riff department and production. The length of the album is a little short though, spewing out eight songs and thirty-two minutes in length. But that doesn't take away from the sick music/lyrical concepts this record has to offer. Every song is good, solid and riff-wise the music is positively solid. The production sound is a bit raw, but by thought and design.  The vocals are screaming as with past releases and duplicated. This one is even with more aggression.

SILENT WINTER is a very melodic/symphonic epic power metal band from Volos, Greece.

This is a five track EP CD with an intro, 3 melodic power metal anthems and a theatrical outro.

The band delivers high energy power/speed metal in the vein of bands such as HELLOWEEN and STRATOVARIUS. Imagine great guitar work, excellent guitar solos, a solid rhythm section, fantastic and decisive work on keyboards, with a super talented young singer (Mike Livas of FORTRESS UNDER SIEGE, RHODIUM, KEEPERS ΟF JERICHO, MAIDENANCE (IRON MAIDEN tribute band)) on top.

This EP is a very tasty appetizer for the upcoming full album in 2019 and with a nice promotional video made by Bob Katsionis, the band makes the best moves into building a name and reputation.

The sound production and mixing are superb, as you can hear every instrument properly and in place, also there are great lyrics (social messages). I love the digipack packaging of this release and the depressive yet metal as hell artwork.

Swedish Thrash Metal band Condemned AD released their new EP «Time Waits for No One». The EP was recorded in "4 White Walls Studio", and mix/mastered by Karlo Testen.

The band was formed in 1989 at Skoghall, Sweden by Mikael Klecken (vocal/guitar). In 1992 the band released their debut EP «Until death ends it all» but after some years playing together in 1994 the band split up, because Mikael Klecken had a major depressive disorder. In 2015 a good friend of the band asked Mikael  if they could temporary rejoin for his 40 birthday and do a gig at a local Rockbar, and they did with the new members - Magnus Elvsen (bass) and Sebastian Elmlund (guitar).

Ο βιρτουόζος κιθαρίστας από την Ιταλία, κύριος GIANLUCA D’ALESSIO είναι εδώ με την καινούρια του κυκλοφορία με τίτλο «Sunrise Markets». Πρόκειται για μια κυκλοφορία οργανικής – ορχηστρικής μουσικής η οποία αποτελείται από 9 συνθέσεις του ως άνω κιθαρίστα. Από τις συνθέσεις αυτές μόνο το τραγούδι «Drawning Borders» είναι με στίχους, το οποίο είναι μια πολύ  όμορφη και συναισθηματική μπαλάντα που φυσικά μιλάει για ερωτική απογοήτευση. Πιστεύω πάντως ότι αυτό το τραγούδι άνετα μπορεί να γίνει επιτυχία.

This metalcore/groove/metal band has been in existence since 2014 but have not released a full-length album till this year.  I was quite impressed by it, very catchy. With Maria on vocals, she kills it with her screaming and some clean voice but mostly just hate. The guitars are like SOULFLY/MESHUGGAH and their vibe seemed to me like that of THE AGONIST when Alissa was with the band.
