Germany's leading extreme metal band EISREGEN will release the new and 12th studio album "Fleischfilm" in early May 2017! It's going to be the first concept album in the band's history: The band pays homage to the wild Italian cinema of the 1970's and 1980's.
Frontman M.Roth comments:
"We're still the generation that often visited video rental stores, and we grew up with movies by Fulci, Argento, Deodato, Margheriti, D'Amato, Bava and many other Italian film-makers.
The soundtracks of those movies, created by the likes of Ortolani, Frizzi, Gombini or Simonetti, are unique and fascinating too.
Those movies are an integral part of my life and Eisregen wouldn't even exist without them.
The idea for this album has been on my mind for a long time, and now that Fröbing has returned to us, it's about time to turn the idea into reality, since he appreciates the movies and the music as much as I do.
I thought about releasing the album as a project under a different band name - but over the course of the past 1 1/2 years, it became 100% Eisregen and incorporates everything that Eisregen stands for: it's morbid, highly creative and miles away from today's metal mainstream.
It's our way to say 'thank you' to an era of pure cinematic madness made in Italy, which wouldn't be possible today, and we're very much looking forward to share it with you on May 5th.
Fulci is alive - at least in our hearts."
Song titles like 'Nahe der Friedhofsmauer', 'Torso', 'Menschenfresser' and 'Satan der Rache' already speak volumes...
EISREGEN's new album "Fleischfilm" will be released on May 5, 2017 via Massacre Records.
